Acho que já falei do David Crystal num passado remoto. Ele é um dos maiores linguistas atuais e talvez um dos maiores conhecedores da Língua Inglesa. Bom.... o livro chegou na semana passada com a caravana dos que vieram de NYC. E é esse bonitinho aí..
Ele responde uma pergunta que a gente tem que responder 500 vezes por aluno.
"Getting a grasp of the basic grammar of a language, and learning to pronounce the sounds accurately, need not take too long. But vocabulary is the Everest of language. Memorizing the tens of thousands of words you need in order to hold you own in long conversations on variegated topics takes time, lots of it".
Tem que estudar forever minha gente.
